FALL Alum To Call LLWS Game On ESPN2!

FALL’S OWN AIDEN BLANC TO CALL A PRIMETIME GAME AT THE LITTLE LEAGUE WORLD SERIES; KIDSCAST WILL BE ON ESPN2, WEDNESDAY, AUGUST 21 ST AT 7:30PM ET

As you all know, the Fairfield American 12-year-old District team has been the New England representative at the the Little League World Series three times in the past 9 years! Although we won't have a team in the brackets this year, Fairfield American will play a role in Williamsport.

Aiden Blanc, a former FALL player turned Ludlowe High School broadcaster, will proudly represent the league in Williamsport at the 2019 World Series. Aiden, along with three other teens, has been chosen to provide play-by-play for the U.S. Winner's Bracket Final, a primetime game on ESPN2 at this year's tournament!

On Wednesday, August 21 at 7:30 p.m. ET, ESPN2 will have a special Kidscast alternative experience for the viewers watching at home. Aspiring broadcasters recruited from the Bruce Beck Sports Broadcasting Camp at Iona College will call the action. Sixteen-year-olds Eddie Kalegi and Aiden Blanc will provide play- by-play in the booth as 15-year-old reporters Zoe Alter and Rahill Jaiswal are on the sidelines. Little League trailblazer Mo'ne Davis, the 2014 Little League Baseball World Series pitching sensation, will make her return to Williamsport and have a hand in the telecast as an analyst.

Aiden is also known for starting the successful FALL Announcers program at Mill Hill. Thanks to Aiden's vision and hard work, every FALL Majors player now knows what it feels like to have your name announced as you stroll to the batter's box. The FALL Announcers program is a big part of what makes playing at Mill Hill such a special experience for our players!

Aiden wanted to reflect on his time with FALL and thank our community for being such an important part of his journey.

From Aiden: "The years that I spent with the FALL family were wonderful. Playing in the league taught me so many valuable life lessons. I had my ups and downs, wins and losses. In addition, I quickly learned that maybe I was a better speaker than player, so I turned to broadcasting. Among my most treasured memories were serving as the emcee for FALL Opening Day for 5 years and starting the announcers program at Mill Hill. I want to sincerely thank the league for everything it offered me, and hopefully what I gave back to it. FALL has continued it’s support this summer with a sponsorship donation to my American Legion broadcasts...what a big help that was! Thank you all. Thank you FALL. I hope you can all tune into the game on ESPN 2 at 7:30 on the 21st!"
